Web Design Procedure
Now that you've decided that you want a web site for your business or organisation, what's next?
Below is the procedure that we follow when designing websites
1. Needs Analysis
The first and probably the most important stage is a needs analysis meeting. We meet with you and combine
our ideas and expertise to come up with the best web site for you. Our expertise and experience in web development and marketing
along with your expertise in your business will set the stage for the rest of the development of your site. Once we've decided on
how to proceed we can provide a quote for your website.
2. Template Design/Site Map
Once the quote has been accepted, the next step is to design a template and, if the web site is large enough, as site map with all of the pages and navigation listed.
We will design a template for your site, and will continue to fine tune it with
you until you're happy with it. On acceptance of the design a 30% deposit is
due.
3. Build
The next step is the web site build. We'll build your web site according to the brief in the needs analysis
and the template agreed upon. Depending on the site this can take from one week to several weeks. For larger sites
we'll regularly upload the site and consult with you to keep the site on the right track.
4. Deployment and Testing
The final stage is the deployment of your web site where we upload to the server and the site is made available to all internet users.
If the site is a dynamic web site we will have conducted our own testing to
ensure that all works well, but there's no environment that compares with the live
web site environment and we will work with you to eliminate any bugs that you
have. Once all is finished we'll issue a final invoice for the web site.
That's our four step web design process. Our sites are built according to our web
design principles, and you can get more information on our Design Principles page. If you're interested
